While I love all things Tarot, I also like to look for fun things to read with for myself and my clients. I look at these as a unique way to end a Tarot reading. I have read with a junk oracle. I created this one with many miniature items, many out of bubble gum machines. At our local meet-up, we have used toothpicks, sugar packets, coins, stones, crystals, and bones. This list goes on.
Here is my Holiday Oracle, made of little buttons.
The meanings I have applied are as follows:
Mistletoe – love, romance, relationships
Christmas Tree – grounding prosperity, abundance
Candles – shedding light, mirroring
Ornaments – keepsakes, delicate things, and situations, handle with care
Candy Canes – helping others, nurturing
Lamp Post – tradition, old fashioned
Wreath – growth, circle of life
House with White Roof – matters of/at home
House with Green Roof – work, career
Snowflake – beauty, unique, temporary
Door – gateway, transition
Green Light –
yes, go, do this, welcome
Red Light – no, stop, don't do this
Reindeer – swift motion, take action, time to get moving
Pointsettia – good cheer, success
I have a little present container that I store my oracle and at the end of my Tarot readings in November, December, and early January. I have my clients reach in and take out a few and drop them on my spread cloth.
This oracle can be read face-up or face-down. I also read where they fall on the cloth. Look at what pieces are touching. For example, if these were all face-up, close, or touching, this would be a good time for a career change or job shift.

If the Mistletoe was face down with the Red Light close, a relationship is likely not healthy.
I would like to highly encourage our readers to try reading with something different than just cards. Let go and play. Let us know if you try.
